Marine Corp

 

                The United States Marine Corps was established November 10^th 1775. The Marines were formed by Samuel Nicholas by the resolution of the Second continental Congress.  They are an off-branch  of the Navy but form their own branch of the Armed Forces. They have been a part of every battle/war America has been in since they are the most dominant of amphibious warfare. They have 2 separate bands for the Marine Corps. On is the President’s Own, which plays for the President at any big event he may be attending. The other band is a marching band called the Commandant’s Own, They play for the Commandant of the Marine corps since he is the highest rank of the Marines. They also play for Marines at whatever base they may be located at. Each Marine must go through basic training for 3 months. It consist of both Physical and Mental aspects that can change an entire person to become a better one as a Marine. Every Marine is trained to be a “rifleman,” so that no matter what their job is in the Marines they can pick up a rifle and help defend/attack. Marines are known to be the first of our major forces to be in combat. They training they undergo is all aspects of warfare and situations that they may encounter during battle. After Basic training they are the Rank Private First Class and have to earn their way up to the next rank of Lance corporal.
